Powerful Birth Story

I have been thinking a lot about birth today, and I came across an amazing story on the Mothering Magazine site.

I especially love how the mother writes about being guided by her intuition, which she also calls "a still, small voice", and having her pregnancy and birth held in a "bubble of safety".

To all my pregnant friends and family: I wish you a beautiful and peaceful births!

Swimming Lessons

We just finished a month of swimming lessons at the Culver Plunge. The lessons were great, and the kids both made tremendous progress. Affordable and effective, what more could I ask for?

Conrad played at the park during classes.
Eric spent four weeks in Tiny Tots class. He is now ready for advanced tots!

Olivia completed Beginner Level One and moved on to Level Two.

Our lessons started at 9am, so we were in the water early. This is a shot of the kids as we left one morning.

Future Continuum Daddy

Here is Eric cuddling his baby to sleep.
A few months ago, Eric was headed out to the courtyard to play with his friend Noah.  He asked me to "put his baby on him" so he could go and play.  I borrowed Michelle's scarf, and made a wrap style carrier that he was happy with.
